Individuals will be able to purchase a tickets for the Raffle Prizes and there is no limit to the number of tickets that can be purchased. The raffle will start April 17, 2018, and end at 11:59pm (central) on August 15, 2018. Once the raffle has closed, 4 random raffle entries will be drawn and announced shortly thereafter.

The North Cumberland WMA is sub-divided into five Elk Hunting Zones (EHZ). Each hunter will be designated an EHZ through a handheld drawing conducted at a TWRA Region IV location (location, dates and times TBA). The raffle winner will be assigned Zone 1 for 7 days. This has been a very successful zone. If the hunter has not been successful in Zone 1 after 7 days, then all the zones will be available for an additional 7 days, (14 days total). EHZ 1 is a 6,827 acre zone that has been hunted since 2009. The zone was rested during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. The zone has a very high success rate and contains multiple wildlife openings.

The winner of the elk permit will be required to purchase an elk license before participating in the hunt. The resident elk license (Type 256) is $27.00, and a non-resident elk license (Type 257) is $300.00. Sportsman and Lifetime license holders are exempt from having to purchase the elk license. All other licenses and permits to hunt big game in Tennessee are required.

Proceeds from the sale of this raffle will go to the elk restoration program.
